One of my favorite things about this french toast is how fluffy it is! It’s almost like biting a cloud (one sweet cloud) so it goes deliciously well topped with something fresh and sweet.

What Do You Eat French Toast With

Serve with any of your favorite breakfast creations. Whether a homemade smoothie, side of sausage or scrambled eggs. You can pair almost anything with french toast and it will work well!

What Is The Best Bread to Use For French Toast

You want a bread that is a little dried out. If you use regular sandwich bread let it sit out overnight to dry out a bit. Then it will soak up the egg and milk mixture better, offering you a more custard center, vs mushy texture.

Can I Freeze Leftover French Toast

Yes! Simply allow the french toast to cool down, and then lay out on a baking dish, and flash freeze for up to 30 minutes. Then transfer to a sealable freezer bag or airtight container. Then store up to three months in the freezer.

How to Reheat French Toast

We generally heat it up in the microwave. I find it offers great texture, then top with berries, syrup, or a slab of butter. Or if you want a different route, lay bread on a baking sheet and warm up in the oven. Just watch so it doesn’t overcook.

Why is French Toast Soggy

The key to french toast is watching a few variables. Make sure to quickly dip the bread into the egg mixture. If you leave it set too long it can result in a soggy toast. Also, use a drier bread as I stated above. It offers more of a chance to cook without being overly wet from the egg/milk mixture.

How Long Does French Toast Last

You can store french toast in the fridge for 3-4 days. It is, of course, best to be eaten day one, but it will store in the fridge. This can be a great way to meal prep for busy weekdays when your hustling to get out of the door in the mornings.
